Two Thai Orchid Farms

Last week and two days before I joined Steemit, we took a drive north of Chiang Mai to visit an orchid farm. It turns out there were two farms about 2 km apart. The first farm was small, concentrated and charged 40 baht (about one USD) admittance. The second farm was much larger, but most of it was dried up. They charged 100 baht. Both farms also advertised butterflies. The first farm actually had some. They are really hard to photograph.

Both places were good for trying out some of the 'new' iphone 8+ camera features. We actually enjoyed both places. The 100 baht farm had a collection of antique Jaguars, although most of them were well rusted from the tropical sun and humidity. They also had a room filled with old manual typewriters (I know, what's a manual typewriter).

Did I mention the butterflies?

I recommend skipping the second and more expensive farm. Although, with the rainy season barely beginning, it may look better in a month or two. At any rate, one can walk both farms in about 2-3 hours.
