correcting curtains
Ciao needlework-enthusiast friends!
Just keeping myself accountable here: proof that I did something useful today: two sets of curtains that I corrected... The white ones for my chapel bedroom balcony - finally got the tension right with these! π€ͺ
And the orange silky ones, which I had to sew back together, after reclaiming the material from other projects. Below you can just see the resew seam, above the pinned line.
That was a bit monty python! The thread kept snapping in the machine:
So the hem take-up I'm going to do by hand; it's pinned for now.
It's pretty darn satisfying to get the curtains up for summer: vital defences against insects and heat! I love the light that filters through to my bedroom from the white ones:
And the orange ones give additional privacy to my studio, which is off a shared corridor: I don't like that someone might peek in, because my art subject matter can be challenging to those not prepared!
