Aaaaand, Relax!! β€οΈβπ₯
How potent it is to let go; physically, mentally, verbally (!!), emotionally, energetically: catharsis is such a great spiritual dynamic that I tap into periodically, and allow to wash me clean.
taking a day trip to Guardia Sanframondi
If you saw my Hot, Hotter, Hottest post, you'll know that me and my Beloved have been struggling significantly lately - especially with the heat (as many of us are suffering under right now), and with camping and being 'between houses'. Not homeless, just not in the house that we almost own, because it has to be majorly renovated.
homemade baked beans - yuuuuuuum!
This has all become a bit too much for us both recently, and tensions built to an exploding point - then they exploded ππ€ͺπ₯΅
This would likely be seen by many as a rather mild explosion in the bigger scheme of things, but for our peaceful harmonious soulmate lifestyle, it was rather earth-shattering!
some spectacular sunsets, lately
Suffice to say we are the better for it, AND the mini-drama brought to the surface our need for more stability, comfort and beauty in our days. Small things that perhaps some good folks can do without, but for us it was crisis point, e basta.
my new sewing-machine table set-up!
We shifted the energy! It was glorious; we simply talked heartfully through what we were feeling and through what we are observing in each other. It felt raw, truly regrounding and realigning. After our intense discussion, and a fun evening out in the village for the annual wheat festival - and we had a whole fresh, new perspective.

The next day, we made our first steps in moving our kitchen from our brick building into our new wee stone cottage building. Just the cooker, and some pots and utensils - and we made a glorious pasta with meagre but fabulous ingredients (a pesto by Vincent of nettles, basil, local olive oil and the last of our caccia cavalo cheese πππππ)
Satiated, and refreshed too by cold-cold fountain water (to drink) and a cool shower at the midday peak, we managed to navigate today's ongoing heat much better than usual. The sense of having a new and permanent place to cook in, to eat in, and to temporarily escape the oven-like pressures of the brick house... It felt like pure potential, rather than a list of a million essential, urgent jobs (which we cannot resolve).
all we need now are some doors!! π
Now our days can progress a lot more happily and efficiently: our vital forces are released somewhat, to make better, more spontaneous choices. And on that note, we are praying, making more positive affirmations, and setting intentions more consciously: it is easier to be grateful for all that we have, when we have clearer perspective β€οΈβπ₯π
And to balance the catharsis of my last post in the Rant, Complain, Talk community; a list of some of the things that I am fully in Gratitude for in our #homesteadlife :
roofs (and canvas) over our heads
water to drink from a beautiful nearby natural fountain, and a pozzo that has some water in it - which we can dig deeper to access more
fruit and nut trees in great abundance, both active and potential in future years
lots of potential firewood in our woods
a huge abundance of wild nature all around us, a veritable biodiversity cornucopia
wide boundaries on our land, giving us ample room to play, explore, try out multifarious projects
an enormous natural clay seam; looking forward to building a kiln!
lots of materials and strumenti in our tool shed, which can help us creatively adapt our spaces for living more comfortably in
a growing variety of edible greens and herbs, flowers and tree leaves, which can provide varied and tasty nutritional sustenance
the beginnings of a network of connections and friends - with many more 'waiting in the wings'
some paid work, doing what I find easy and relaxing!
solutions for all the world problems, just requiring our participation, one step at a time
a fabulous local shop within walking distance (with friendly proprietors, who also accept our mail for us), where we can buy essentials, and some useful household things
bars in the piazza there, where we can people-watch, get connected with the community, and take time out every now and again
a functioning plumbing system, albeit the basics, but mostly off-grid and free-flowing
a renewed sense of connectedness and purpose, having begun the move into our new house
a solid online presencd, in a variety of communities and using a variety of decentralised tools, that allow us to share what we're doing, inspire others and remain sovereign
a deep awareness of the false nature of the system and all its structures and hierarchies - which allows us to avoid the tricks and traps into the servitude that is enveloping a lot of folks π
and our sensitivity, presence and innocence in The Great Mystery
Ahhhh: that feels better! Everything is precisely how/ where it should be, and we are Alive, and becoming more so always!
With All The Merit-Gained and all the Love To You!
