Participando en el segundo concurso de guitarra solista | A Second guitar competition
En este camino largo de la música existe realmente un sinfín de vocabularios distintos que podríamos llamarlo así para referirnos al modismo en una conversación. Bien, pues ocurre exactamente lo mismo cuando tocamos música, sea el instrumento que sea, cada quien tiene una forma distinta de interpretar una oración musical en este caso.
In this long way of music there is really an endless number of different vocabularies that we could call this way to refer to the idiom in a conversation. Well, it is exactly the same when we play music, whatever instrument it is, everyone has a different way of interpreting a musical sentence in this case.
En los concursos de solista es importante entender además que más allá de verlo como una competencia, no se trata de ir mas rápido o ir más lento. Se trata de escoger las notas o las palabras correctas para luego ser interpretadas de manera adecuada pero evidentemente ocurren muchas otras cosas más. El tono, la versatilidad, las articulaciones, los silencios, los espacios...cada uno de estos juego un elemento particular en conjunto.
In solo competitions it is also important to understand that beyond seeing it as a competition, it is not about going faster or slower. It is about choosing the right notes or the right words to be interpreted in the right way, but obviously there are many other things involved. The tone, the versatility, the articulations, the silences, the spaces...each of these play a particular element together.
La pista de fondo es un track que proporcionaron para el evento que consiste en improvisar o crear algo en ese espacio de tiempo que dura la pista que es de 29seg aproximadamente. Y si ahí en ese espacio breve de tiempo pueden decirse muchas cosas de diferentes formas y es ahí donde esta el valor y el esfuerzo.
El evento fué dirigido por el guitarrista Owane y Jack Gardiner que son grandiosos músicos y exponentes de la guitarra moderna y que desde luego invito a que escuchen su música:
The backing track is a track that they provided for the event that consists of improvising or creating something in that space of time that the track lasts, which is approximately 29 seconds. And yes, in that short space of time many things can be said in different ways and that is where the value and effort lies.
The event was led by guitarist Owane and Jack Gardiner who are great musicians and exponents of modern guitar and I certainly invite you to listen to their music:
A pesar de que no gane absolutamente nada 😅 debo decir que me alegro saber que Jack si me escribió en el post del video en instagram y me causó una emoción tremenda que me da el impulso a seguir practicando y mejorar cada vez más. Veo esto como una experiencia enriquecedora del conocimiento y que todos los músicos sin duda deberían aprovechar.
Even though I won absolutely nothing 😅 I must say that I'm glad to know that Jack did write me in the video post on instagram and it caused me a tremendous emotion that gives me the impulse to keep practicing and improving more and more. I see this as a knowledge enriching experience and one that all musicians should certainly take advantage of.
