Wifi went down. :(
I was hive deprived for the past few days.. My modem wasn't working and seemed stuck trying to find the signal. A repair guy from our provider (Spectrum) came out today and it turned out that the signal to our house was 'toast'.. his words. :P
It just took him a few minutes to go out to the main box and get ours working again. :)
After it was down for 1 whole day, I got antsy and wanted to login to my hive account and check my email and other stuff. I could still use data on my phone, but wanted to try and use my desktop PC. I remembered how my son was able to get online on his tablet, but using the wifi from my mobile phone.. before, in the philippines. I just had to turn on a hotspot setting and he had to login to that wifi.
Sure enough, my phone has a hotspot setting (probably all smart phones do?), but alas, the speed of the wifi was just too slow for him to do anything. It probably woulda worked eventually. or for doing something not data intensive, such as email.
maybe i need to find or get another wifi adapter for my PC..
