Echoes Poem 5 - Longing Never Ends

Welcome to Echoes, a compilation of Poems. This one goes by the name, Longing Never Ends. I as an author, had certain thoughts running while penning it down. However you (readers) can interpret it in your own way.

Figure of Speech - Metaphor
Mood - Mournful
Tone - Sad
Form - Free Verse, as it does not follow any set pattern

Life was as miserable
as it could ever be.
I waited, sorted, parted
But nothing departed.
With Memories fibbing
The Smell agonising
The Touch rotten
The Feel smitten.

Eyes soaked dry
Feet smeared with dirt.
Blood stains dried
Breath obnoxious.
Words hallucinations,
Existence after all
now Meaningless.

Once left, never Revived.
Soul clasped, Body snubbed.
Once Aspired Coveted Desired
And now forever after, Disregarded.
