My old friend

Hello everyone, I'm so happy to be a member, this is my first post and so happy to share it with you.

It's been years since I last saw my granddad, but the memories remain clear. We didn't get to see him often, because we were living far away, so every visit was special, tho in a long while. I was just 10 years old that last time, and he was already an old man, but he always refuses to accept that he is old, trying to do what young bloods do.
He took me out to show me some places in the town and educate me on how things are donne over there, bought me treats, and did everything to make me smile, because those moments comes after a longe time. He wanted me to feel loved and happy, and he succeeded. Little did I know, those were his final days. Within two years, we heard the news of his passing. Returning for the burial, I couldn't help but think back to our last moments together.

I recalled the peaceful times we shared, the way he tried to laugh, but his energy was fading. Somehow, I sense he knew his time was limited. It's funny how life works; we don't always get closure or say goodbye the right way.

Today, I'm taking time to reflect on those memories. I miss him dearly, and though he's gone, his love and efforts to make me happy remain with me. In moments like these, I feel grateful for the time we had and the lessons he taught me, even if unknowingly. His legacy lives on in my heart.
