Bees & Purple Flowers
Hi Folks
At the weekend I found myself wandering along the Tay Estuary in Dundee not far from the Victoria & Albert Museum.
While wandering along the riverside looking for photography opportunities I noticed this little patch of lavender and purple thistles that had attracted a dozen or more bees.
I saw more bees buzzing around this little flower patch than I have seen in many years.
Almost 90% of wild plants and 75% of leading global crops depend on animal pollination. One out of every three mouthfuls of our food depends on pollinators such as bees, so its good to see such thriving bee activity in a big city.
