My first real post, a little about me

Today I had another Conversational Spanish lesson with Luis Miguel in Santa Elena, Ecuador. And now I am finally set up on ecency so you can all expect to be hearing from me frequently.

A little about me. I am the child of a Canadian father and a Jamaican mother. I was born in Northern Scotland and have lived now in 7 countries and visited over 60. Which why when asked "Where are you from " My answer is "Earth". I don't have a home country , or home town. Home is where ever I am currently living. My 5 siblings are spread around the globe.

As a nine year old I sat with my father was listing in on a shortwave radio to the election goings on in Canada. We were living in Singapore at the time. My Dad said "The thing any politician fears the most is a well informed electorate. Pay attention to what is going on not just in the place where you live but also what is going on around the world because you never know it may end up involving you." I have been a political animal ever since. And listen to news around the world first thing every day.

I am a voracious reader. And yes I read some of the wonkiest policy documents just for fun.

What can you expect from this blog? Whatever is on my mind at the time. There is a 100% chance of it turning political, but I hope It will never be boring.
