Make Sure Your Efforts Are Aligned with the Right Direction

Sometimes, people treat “hard work” as the only answer, believing that as long as they keep pushing forward, they’ll overcome every obstacle.

I have a friend who’s a designer. She worked late nights, took on every project, constantly pushing herself to please her clients and become “better.”
But no matter how hard she worked, someone always complained she wasn’t fast enough or perfect enough.
She began to wonder — was all her effort meaningless? Was she never going to be enough?

One day, she collapsed from exhaustion. That forced pause became a turning point.
She realized that what truly moves us forward isn’t endless pushing, but the ability to pause, to see how far we’ve come, and to ask what we really want.

Working hard isn’t wrong — but if you’re heading in the wrong direction, all it brings is deeper fatigue.
