Google removes "view image" button from image search results.
Today Google has removed "view image" button from image search results.
The point of this removal was to help sites and photographers by forcing users to click on "visit site" button instead. Visiting those sites lets them get revenue from ads and forces users to see copyright information.
I personally find it a bit annoying. And it is doubly annoying for people who tend to use the built-in license filter:
There is still an easy way to get directly to an image without visiting the site, which works 99% of the time. Right click an image and choose "open image in new tab", "view image" or other similar option, depending on your browser:
