Wednesday walk through an old zoo

Hello friends,

This week I visited a zoo, and while I probably will show you some photos of that sometime, I will now show you the walk I did afterwards.

Of course I don´t know how parks look all over the world, but this park does look quite different than most that I know in the Netherlands.

This is because as you it is the place where the zoo was first. And after the zoo moved, they made it a park, but they still kept a lot of the old animal enclosures the same.

So there are a lot more rocks and rocky walls here, than you would normally see in a park.

And I am quite captivated by it. Because it is so different than I normally see in a park. And I like the rock features.

One of the downsides is that quite some ditches are also still there and you can´t get to every place that well. But walking on the paths still gives nice views.

And seeing this, I think I would love to see more parks that are created with more rocks.

Also the fact that they allow some places to get a bit longer grass, a bit less maintained is for me a nice thing to see. At least for in a park in a city.

When I first discovered it, I thought it could be nothing and it would not fit, but it is in my eyes perfect and a good decision to keep it almost how it was.
