This is my entry for Zapfic Monday, a story in 240 characters using the prompt "shock":
Shock
Lisa was not a fan of pasta. This was probably because Mom took "al dente" to mean "barely cooked."
However, as Lisa peered into her bowl, she appeared shocked.
"What's the matter? Don't you like worms?" Mom asked her. "They're healthy."
