This Is Me - Random Thoughts

I really wanted to get a short story or poem from one of my prompts done for today, but I kinda got lost halfway through everything I started. Trying to at least post once a week though, so here's something.

Life's overall been stressful. I'm in my 3rd semester of college, and grades aren't as good as they were at the start. Have one D+ I need to pull up to at least a C in the next week + the final. Two projects due end of this week too :P

On the other hand, I've made several friends this semester, and don't feel quite as lonely in life anymore. It's good to have friends that'll listen to you when you're stressed, and let you do the same for them.

Been trying to listen to some more music lately, and I've found a few new songs I've liked. Thought I'd write a little about each.

"Fireflies" by Owl City
Kinda a mix of happy and sad. The imagery is beautiful and captures the feel of those moments that only last for a while. I wish that planet earth turned slowly. "To tired to fall asleep" is really relatable. I just hope I can catch these memories in a jar.

"When You Love Someone" by James TW
Written for a boy whose parents were going through a divorce, I feel like the writer made it more optimistic then it should be (intentionally or not). Kinda makes the song more emotional. I can't imagine what it'd be like to have your parents divorce...

"Perfect" by Ed Sheeran
Beautiful song. Hope I can say that it's true about somebody, someday.

"Cool Kids" by Echosmith
There's so many "cool kids" that look like they're doing fine, but I wonder how many hide stress and sorrow. I know I don't wanna let mine out. We all still envy them, though.

"1-800-273-8255" by Logic
Depressing, but how I feel sometimes. I've never wanted to commit suicide, but I've felt so overwhelmed before I've wished everything would just end.

"I Hope You Dance" by Lee Ann Womack
A song about keeping the wonder in life. I hope I never lose it. This world is such an amazing place.

Also watched the 1951 Adaption of A Christmas Carol on Saturday. I don't know if it was my favorite adaption, but it was very good adaption, and I loved how they did more with Marley. He's really the saddest character in the whole story...

So yeah, idk what I'm thinking or feeling like these days. Life's crazy and hectic and sometimes I love it, sometimes I hate it.

Any song recommendations would be cool.
