Wanted: Elders in Tech?

QUESTION: Is there any sort of 'elders in tech' initiative that harnesses the thousands of amassed years of experience embodied in seasoned tech specialists?

Michael Brodie and I (pictured below) are attracting some interest in our 'Grandfathers in The Incubator' idea at the Universidade de Aveiro Incubator (PCI), Portugal, because we decided to own our age and experience, rather than try to be 'down with' the 20-something entrepreneurs in our midst.

It occurred to me that - in a world of lean, up-start-ups, who are breaking things fast - there must be loads of elder techies, possibly retired, whose sage wisdom is in danger of dying on the vine.

I want to know if that's true; if an association exists to share that wisdom; and if not, who'd like to connect and create it?
