Renter-Lands 2 - Common Plot Boogaloo????

What's up Land peeps - it's your buddy CaptainDingus with a bit a of a late night article...

Tbf it's only 9:37pm as I start typing this but that's late for me as I have worked well over a 12h day.

However, in my last post, I showed a viable and profitable renting strategy for Landowners!!!

Renter-Lands!

But, as it was pointed out by some of my friends on here - Legendary Lands are VERY EXPENSIVE...

So I said... gee I wonder if COMMON PLOTS could be profitable to Rent Cards to work them!?!

Read on to find out!

Common Grain Plot: RF Legendary Workers

The test: Let's say we start with the basics... we buy our first Plot and it's a "Grain Plot" because we will be self sustaining from the jump!

Common Grain Floor:

It looks as if the Common Grain Plot floor is $15 - although there's only one of those...

So... what does a Max RF Legendary Worker rent out for???

You can rent TONS of them at 1 DEC/Day!!

Ok that's perfect - cheap labor secured!!

Now - let's see what kind of Grain we produce and if we can turn a profit... and at what cost...

Common Bog: 5 RF Legendary Workers

Produce: 165 Grain/hour
Tax: 10% (-16.5 Grain)
Consume: 75 Grain/hour

Net Grain/hour: 165 - 16.5 - 75 = 73.5 Grain/hour
Net Grain/day: 73.5 * 24 = 1,764 Grain/day = 16.88 DEC/day

DEC/day = 16.88
Rental Expense: 5 DEC/day

Profit: 16.88 DEC/day - 5 DEC = 11.88 DEC/day Profit!!

Woohoo!! You CAN Rent Workers for Common Plots to earn a profit!

While I am glad we just learned we CAN do this... the question now becomes... SHOULD we do this...

Let's consider the costs:

$15 for Plot
5 DEC/day for Workers
5k DEC for Powerplant

I feel like something is missing... oh right... of course...

FIFTY THOUSAND DEC TO STAKE FOR THE WORKERS

So... if we tie up:

$15 + $3.50 + 5 DEC/day + $37.50 = $56 + 5 DEC/day...

We can earn... 11.88 DEC/day

So while it DOES work... you could just buy $56 worth of playable cards and rent them out for WAY MORE than 11.88 DEC/day lol

Conclusion: Bad Investment Idea

@seattlea and @unitmaster - there you have it! Conclusive proof that you CAN do it... but you probably SHOULDN'T lmao
