I LOVE THE NEW RANKED BATTLE FORMAT!!!

Good morning Praetorians!

I don't have a lot of time here but let me just say this quickly and SHOUT IT FROM THE ROOFTOPS!!!

The Player MatchMaker needs some tweaking. One of my guildmates, who is a better player than I, has tested it from the bottom up! He started a BRAND NEW account to try out the NEW Ranked Battle Experience...

Entering the game he faced a couple of "bots" but on his 3rd or 4th battle, faced someone in Novice... who had Max CL cards and 700k power...

This experience continued and even though he had rented a decent number of cards, my guildie, who consistently plays in Modern Champion, had a tough time starting over, even with the first steps of the NPE and a part of his struggle was facing opponents with WAY HIGHER card levels and extreme ranking differences.

All in all, a player who ends most seasons at Champion 2 went 13-31 to get out of NOVICE...

With an experience like that, New Players may not find it very enjoyable. I believe there can be some easy fixes to this:

1. Novice only plays against Novice.
2. Tier Novice: Novice III, Novice II, Novice I
   Novice III = SplBots only
   Novice II = SplBots with better cards and other players in Novice II or Novice I
   Novice I = Mostly other Novice I players, Novice II and SplBots as backup for MM purposes.

I am grateful for his experience and feedback and I hope others will help speak up so we can streamline the NPE!!

That being said: THIS IS A HUGE STEP FORWARD AND CONGRATULATIONS GUYS!!!

For me, even though it was the start of the season, which is typically the TOUGHEST time to advance as we all scramble forth... I have managed to make it to Modern Diamond II!!! I haven't had the chance to play that much over the past few days so I am thankful to have made it!!

I don't have a lot of time at the moment but I hope to create and post my Weekly Land Update & Market Report later today or perhaps tomorrow morning.
