WHAT?! Caitycat is RUNNING?!

I don't know what has gotten into me.

I've committed to running at the Runrype Okanagan Marathon (formerly the BMO Ok Marathon). I'll be running in the 10km race... farther than I have ever run. I've actually never been a runner... never been an athlete of any kind, actually. Something snapped in me this summer, though, and I can't wait to get farther in my running training.

My sweet @mstafford, who has been running and crushing marathons and half-marathons for years now while I cower in the shadows, afraid to step out of my comfort zone, has been so supportive and helpful. We went for a nice jog last night at golden hour and it felt great. We sat on the patio afterwards and chatted about how we never thought we'd see the day that we would be happily jogging together.

I've also talked my coworkers into a weekly beginner's running group. We meet at 6pm on Wednesdays, here outside the store when it closes, and run as long as we can. It's great because we are able to run in a gorgeous spot along the ocean, and we have a variety of skill levels, so everyone is comfortable and going at their own pace.

I'm also excited to participate in @mstafford's project, @runburgundy. He's so very passionate about it and making it into a really neat, functional, motivational program for runners on the blockchain. If you haven't checked it out already, DO IT!
