Maldives
A string of barrier islands on Ari Atoll, Maldives. The nation consists of some 1,200 islands, many of which are only exposed at extremely low tide. If they can remain healthy, #coral reefs will grow upwards to keep pace with rising sea levels. But recent warming events have done extensive damage to the corals, inhibiting their ability to keep up.
