Day 2914 | A Daytrip To Cha-Am

I started a challenge of taking 100 days off to mainly focus on my health and overall personal development and used this account as a personal blog to keep track of all my activity. I enjoyed it and continued afterward trying to build better habits and find a good balance between health, fitness, work, entertainment, and my personal life...

Sunday was a day where I did my 2nd daytrip here in Hua Hin and the 2nd time with my Girlfriend. The idea was to go visit Cha-Am, visit some culture there and afterward have a relaxing beach day also getting something to eat before heading back.

We left at my condo around 11:00 for what was a 34 minute drive directly to the Wat Tham Chaeng Dragon-like Temple. Once there is was quite hot and I already started sweating a bit and aside from the actual dragon temple which looks awesome on pictures there was not really that much to do.

It was a great place to take some pictures even though it was hard to get the dragon fully in a picture frame with ourselves. The statue also isn't massive but really nice and colorful and the entry toward it was not spectacular. So similar to the Wildlife Rescue Center, it something that I'm glad that I did but would not visit twice.

After sitting there in a nicely designed shed drinking something, we ordered a grab to cha-am beach to get a chair and it was a nice arrival with a main road along the beachline and plenty of chair rental abilities.

We quickly ended up settling somewhere to have a relaxing day but not much long after there was some heavy rain while we were only partially protected by the umbrellas as water was dripping on the sides.

Luckily it didn't last longer that 20-30 minutes after which everything was back to normal again. We ordered some coconuts and also had a good nap. This was followed by a beach walk to the viewing point in Cha-Am where there was also a small food court nearby.

We did not end up eating there but instead got a grab to a nicer place near the beach named Chom Talay Restaurant which I found on ChatGPT.

It had a really nice view and the food also was good while still being very affordable at 900 Baht (24€) for 3 nice dishes and 2 drinks.

We stayed there for quite some time and had a fun time with some good talk seeing it get dark. around 19:40, we ordered another grab which dropped my girlfriend off at her school dorm and which took me to my condo afterward where I went for a swim to afterward get in bed on time. Overall despite the fact that the Dragon wasn't super spectacular and we had some rain at the beach, it still was a very fun and enjoyable day with the 2 of us.

Next Day Goals: Monday will be a quiet day for me with a Muay Thai Boxing class and the final episode of the 4th Season of From. I also plan to call my mom and a friend in the evening and might start planning things already for the week to come.
