My NextColony Progress and Plans
I have been "playing" @nextcolony on STEEM since a couple of weeks after it came out last spring. I used to post updates at least monthly and show my progress.
But as a "free to play" user, things have gone slowly. So I stopped posting updates, but I have continued to work the game.
Here is what I have been doing for the last few months.
I go into the game 2-4 times a week just before re-booting my laptop. Working @nextcolony tasks is one of several tasks I do each time I get ready to restart.
I go to the "Skills" screen and upgrade everything I can before some of my resources are too small and then all upgrades are out of reach. I know from recent dpolls about @nextcolony that I am not the only one to do this.
I log out, and then do it again next time. This takes 5 minutes or less a few times a week.
I have level 402 in my meta skill level by this method. Maybe about one third of my skills are maxed out at 20 level, and the rest I am working on now.
This week I clicked around and found a fairly comprehensive looking page of guides.
So reading through these is on my list now, and will possibly happen in April at the rate I am going. Maybe I will post summaries for each guide section and try to learn something.
What do you think of my method? Do you have an idea for me of a next step after I have all my skill upgrades done? Or would you focus on something else if you were me?
I do not really have time to play games now, so I figure this quick upgrading task will pay off whenever I do have time later in life.
