More Time to Make Soap!
The school season is almost complete! Over the past year, I have had my time divided for a very good reason: I've been homeschooling our son. He's in elementary school, so while we are not in the fields of complicated learning, we ARE in the category of foundational matters that keep the mom/teacher close by his side. That means that it's hard to find time to run the soap business. I do it, but it seems that my best soap-making time is after everyone has gone to bed. And that's kind of rough for all of us.
So as the last days of this year's schoolyear come to an end, I am getting a bit excited: It's my time to make the soap!!! I already have many lovely selections in my shop as you know, but it will be good to present new ones to all my customers AND to be nice and stocked up for the coming months ahead! And maybe, just maybe, I'll go to a few shops and supply them with soap to sell. I'll actually have some time on my hands to work on all this! Yay! (Okay, but let me be honest -- a hate presenting a sale in person. Time to get brave with new things that I shy from doing.)
So, to all the Mama's that are looking at the change in schedule for their family this Summer, what is your most exciting thought? Will there be a trip to the zoo? Will your family head to the ocean? Or are you going to enjoy some "down time" stay-cation and/or home gardening?
I'm sure that we all welcome a little change whether we homeschool or not (we were doing public school last year, so I do know how that feels too -- it's nice to have the kiddos home for the Summer!). And then, of course, after we all have our Summer break, we will also be excited about getting back to school (and I suppose I'll be writing that blog post too! Haha!).
So cheers to you and have a happy Summer!
