Pumped to have a mastered version of this studio track i did with my band KALDERA. This track is called SYMA TREE, it is from our first album called WELL. Syma Tree is one of our heavier tunes. This song went through several transitions before its final form. In fact we added the entire end section at the last second the day before the final record… we felt the song needed something else and this last minute transition cap came out in a moment of inspiration…now i cant imagine the song without it.
I had heard of blocktunes but wasn’t fully aware of what exactly it was or what you could do with it. It was one of the never ending things on the list of ‘need to check out’ Big mistake by me not finding it earlier but luckily i had listened into last weeks #hivethrive with guest @thelogicaldude and he was sharing about his app blocktunes. So i decided to test it out.
What a cool site. Kaldera had all these final studio edits but never did the final mastering. Really cool that blocktunes has a studio with a mastering section. I ran into a few small bugs when mastering, but @thelogicaldude was very receptive and made some code fixes immediately. He fixed the way recently mastered tracks would be saved so as not to get lost if you switched out of page. Gotta love a dev that is willing to care about user experience. Kudos to @thelogicaldude on caring and creating this great app. I mean, the music industry is fucked in terms of being a new musician and blocktunes is definitely putting some of the power back in the hands of the musician. Time to spread the word about this app. Music is a great niche for Hive to find more users.
