What do you think about steemit as social network based on blockchain ?

I think it's awesome! It's very cool that we have working software on a blockchain protocol and its not just an idea. The economy is starting to take flight as individuals begin to see the value of their contributions to a community. I believe this is going to force some of the old guard (facebook / twitter / youtube) to really pay attention and follow suite.
