Sweet Dragon Love from @Naltedtirt

     Ever meet someone who immediately surprises the hell out of you? I don't mean in an, "Oh! So you're an ax murderer?" sort of way. More along the, "I've known you for a minute and you're doing something damn generous!" line. Aren't these moments amazing?

     I was hiding from chores and laughing it up in the @Thealliance's Discord Bar last week when @Naltedtirt dropped a giving bomb that knocked the branch out from under me. One moment I'm admitting to him that I was a noob when it comes to silver collecting. (Though I have a touch of lust for shiny silver goodness. 😍) The next, he's all, "Let me send you something, what do you like?" Just like that. Forget floored, I was in furry freefall with shock!

     Then this happy package is dropped off yesterday. The guy even took the time to draw little smiley balloons on them. Yup. He emojied my box. (LOL for all of you that had to re-read that sentence. 😉😂)

I'll admit that I gave the drawings a doubletake. 🙈😜

     Even though I knew what was inside, thanks to Naltedtirt's questions and his post, my excitement was there since photos (even great ones) can't compete with holding a silver beauty.

     Since I was opening my lovely gift outside, my first look at this sweet Welsh Dragon was with sunlight glinting off of it. My poor cell phone camera couldn't handle the shiny! I snagged some leaves to make a bed for my new precious, moved under a tree, and began a steamy photoshoot.

     Funny enough, I adore the back of gift just as much as the front. Naltedtirt told me that the ripples that come from using a hot mold so that the melted silver doesn't cool as fast, resulting in a shinier surface. Twisting this piece in the sunlight is mesmerizing. He even put my name on it. How cool is that? Plus, my inner child loves his skull and anchor maker's mark. He's right, it's piratey.

     When I was thanking Naltedtirt with a slew of smiles and swirly hearts, he gave me a peek at my Welshie's sires. Maybe I'm biased but I think their offspring won the looks in the family.

     Thank you, Naltedtirt, for handmaking me this incredible gift! I love meeting another Alliance family member who is so funny and kind. I love that there are people out there who give just for the joy of sharing. I love running my thumb over the design and watching the light play off of the ripples. I love the weight of it in my hands. I love that I had the opportunity to learn more about silver pouring when talking with you. I love that I have another dragon in my collection. And I love how sexy my squirrely self looks when holding it.

Yes, I was making kissing noises.
