A distraught young woman came out to speak with us. Her Nan was very ill in the hospital with a chest infection and COPD where they were 'treating' her with midazolam and morphine.
A patient with a chest infection and
COPD, Symptoms include breathing
difficulties, a cough and wheezing.
Why would you give them Midazolam,
a drug, which has breathing problems as one of its major side effects???
