Rachel (Monomad Challenge)
I really enjoyed this shoot. Rachel was a pleasure to work with. She has recently got back into modelling after quite a break. She used to do a lot of runway work. And you can tell, she is tall and slim and walks with a lot of poise.
Although the shoot was a brilliant and fun experience, the post processing and passing the images on, were an absolute nightmare. And I really came so close to hanging up my camera,i even started listing all of my kit. Let me explain.
Just recently I have been having a more than usual number of soft images. It was really starting to knock my confidence. Then it was suggested that I calibrate my lenses. Having not done them for a long time, I hoped that this could be the issue. So all lenses calibrated and the following shoot only produced a couple of misses. And then this shoot. And so many misses. As a diabetic I accepted a long time ago that my eyesight would start to fail. So I just assumed that it was my deteriorating eyesight.
However, going back over the images, and applying a little bit of judicious sharpening, it seems that my eyesight probably isn't as bad as I thought it might be. So probably not quite time to hang up the camera just yet. Sorry to tell you all that.
