Out of Ideas
A child asked his father why he hadn't been on social media for several days. The man, who was asked the question, remained unmoved. Only the sound of the clock ticked. Slowly, but surely.
A moment later, the man smiled. He stared intently at his son's face with blank eyes. Then he froze again.
The curious child continued to press his father, who was lying in the living room. He finally gave in and lay down beside his father.
The man's hands slowly embraced his son's body. Tightly. He fell asleep.
Meanwhile, the father got up. He stared at the blank desktop screen that had been on. His hands supported his head, which felt heavy. The empty cup wouldn't fill, as if his brain had lost concentration.
