Welcome to the Revolution

A revolution without its people is not a revolution worth having. By now, many of us have realized that Blockchain and cryptocurrencies are here to stay. Over the next decade we'll see major disruptions across all industries of society sparked by the Blockchain revolution. The ideas behind cryptoeconomics are incredibly powerful and like nothing we've seen before. Because it's so different from traditional ideas, we have a hard time building a mental model of what it is and how it works. Unfortunately, this steep learning curve alienates the very people that the technology has the greatest potential to serve. I've noticed that many pro-cryptocurrency activists do not fully understand it, leading to more confusion and distrust.

Like any technology, eventually we won't need to understand how it works in order to use it (Steemit is a great example of this). Cryptocurrency will be no different. However, for those that are interested in participating today, it's important to understand the fundamentals. With this in mind, I'll be putting together a series of posts to help explain some of the basics. Stay tuned!
