HOW TO KILL OCTAV THE FIREBRAND (Not a tutorial!)

Well, it depends. It depends ...

... on how you have built your character until this point in the game. It depends on your strengths and weaknesses, like anything else, in the game or out there in real life. I killed him with a bow. Ranged weapons are my thing in this playthrough.

In today's post, I wanna show you a few scenes from that small, bounty-side mission called "Kill Octav the Firebrand". In the above screenshot, you can see part of the area near the city of Paradis. A bit further down the river, past the huge remains of a mysterious ancient gate, I found Octav's hideout.

Here you can see me getting ready to quickly and silently eliminate two of his dwarven gangmates. In the following picture ...

... I'm just sneaking through the ruins in search of a good spot for a perfect execution.

In this screenshot, I'm finally facing the infamous Octav the Firebrand.

As you can see here, his health bar was pretty long.

Yep, the fight was pretty tough, not very long, but a difficult one nonetheless.

Octav and his short-legged thugs won't terrorize the local villages anymore.

Let's hope he'll reincarnate as a goldfish or earthworm in the next life. I'm saying that only becouse some kind of reincarnation cycle plays a big role in this world's mythos and in the game's main story as well.

In this screenshot, I'm busy exploring the same ruins in search of food or valuables.

Here I finally found a spot and angle from which you can really appreciate the ancient architecture of the ruins.

In the background of this picture, you can see a pretty tall waterfall, which is why I included it in this post. It's a cool scene.

Here you can see the same ancient gate I introduced at the beginning of the post. Glowing mushrooms can really transform the scenery after sunset. Nights in this game are amazing.

A bit later, I stopped to explore one of the abandoned farmhouses in that area. OI love the way the mushrooms illuminate the decaying interior.

In this last screenshot, you can see me approaching the city near the break of dawn.
