Why I’m perfectly fine aiming for just 7% in this crazy AI market dropping

just wanted to share some thoughts on what we're seeing in the market right now.

Did you catch the sector rotation yesterday? The S&P bumped up a bit while the Nasdaq took a slight hit. Money is basically cycling out of semis for a minute, though it’s funny seeing chip stocks bounce almost immediately after touching the 200-day moving average.

Even Micron dropped to an RSI of 40 before catching a bid. Google, Apple, and Microsoft held up pretty well across the board.

We've got the Fed meeting tomorrow. Practically everyone expects them to freeze rates, so no surprises there.

Honestly, looking at the AI hype right now, I think the initial crazy pump is over. We’re in the mid-stage now.

If you remember the dot-com bubble (Yahoo, Lycos, anyone?), so many of the "hot" companies just vanished. Telecom infra took 20 years to grow 5x in investment.

AI will probably be the same—slow, volatile, but grinding upwards because both the private sector and government (especially for defense) literally have to keep spending on it.

As a 30-year long-term investor, I was looking at Google's recent pullback. Honestly, their negative cash flow is bugging me a bit. I don't need a stock to go up 200% in a year. Beating a 3% bond yield and 3.5% historical inflation is the real game.

Asset allocation historically gets you around 7%+ without the heart attacks. If you want a comfortable retirement, you don't need to chase 100x gains; 7% compounding does the heavy lifting.
