After a long time away returning to Splinterlands

It's been months since I last looked at @splinterlands and as you would expect I was at the very bottom.

Eager to progress from the lowest of the low, I set about on some ranked battles. The first few matches just sat on waiting forever and then finally came up the competitor surrendered

This is one big annoyance with @splinterlands - it just takes forever sometimes sitting on waiting - people must have this screen burned onto the back of their retina now - well the few actual people that play.

Finally I got a battle and won, my path out of Novice had started

Another match and another win - I'm almost on a roll

Even the waiting time reduced, it's all going too well

Of course as you climb the competition becomes stiffer

And you start to loose the odd match - heading backwards not forwards

That is when the waiting and loosing starts to wear thin, and you remember what made you forget to play.

It does not take many losses to throw in the towel

You might get lucky with the odd win, but as you climb you know it's going to turn into a bot fest - and some how the bot's nearly always win.

I made it from Novice to Bronze II, if it wasn't for waiting I might have kept playing. @splinterlands could be a great game but it has so many frustrating niggles - the main being taking a lifetime per match - and actually if anyone took note of the time they spent on it to the card rewards - and you have plenty of waiting time to note it down, your time could be better spent and more rewarding making comments on @peakd
