A long sleeveless gown for my Aunty.

Wishing you merry Christmas and a prosperous new year.
How was your Christmas,mine was great and full of activities.

Where am from,there were alots of activities,marriages,burials, Thanksgiving,home coming etc .

I tried fixing some clothes for my relatives,most times it is difficult to rest duting periods like this when everyone in the family knows that i can sew

The things i used to make this beautiful gown are:

• Ankara fabric
• Scissors
• Measuring tape
• black color lining.

Fot this particular dress,the time frame was short because i wasn't sure that my aunty would want to used a new cloth on Sunday.
I even anticipated new clothes for the first sunday in 2026.

But i got a message from my aunty and she asked me to used this particular ankara for the dress
I had made a two piece ankara for her still with the same fabric,well i guess she couldn't used it because
It was a trouser and top.
So i decided to make a church gown but a bit sleeveless.
Hence i cut out a bigger yards for the gathers
I used hand needle and gave loosen stitches on it
And i bend the down part and sew it.

Then since it was sleeveless,my cutting for the upper part was with the shoulder
I marked the burst measurements and the waist both front and back, differences between the front and the back was on the neck design and extra inches for the zip allowance.

I sew and joined the upper part to the gathers and my aunt was glad with the outcome.
