Should one keep Etherium tokens?

A short while ago I got into JSE tokens. I was intrigued by cryptocurrency and this came up in a podcast I was listening to. Unfortunately those tokens have only decreased in value since the launch of the tokens on the market. (I apologize for likely using the incorrect terminology, I'm still new to all of this). My question is, is it worth keeping the tokens, when they can fluctuate in value both as tokens with a certain value and as related to Etherium with it's value. I'm trying to figure out if I should just convert them to Eth at some point when Eth is at a decent price and then I am only counting on one value to fluctuate.
