Splinterlands Art Contest - 日 の バスケ(Hi no Basuke)

Hello creative and steaming community of Splinterlands.

I can't believe it's been a while since I joined the contest, I have missed the creativity and fun that comes with it . I got a new job recently and it has been taking a lot of my time.
Finally this week I was able to come up with something to join the contest as well as something alot of people can relate to on the platform..

Incorporating this card inspirations

日 の バスケ (hi no Basuke)

I started with a sketch, I wanted to do something out of the usual so I was was watching the anime "kuroko no basuke" and it inspired me to do this piece.

First a couple pose sketches until I finally decided on this one.

Next I move on to lineart, nothing too fancy a little refining here and there.

Then I colour in the flats, I had a ton of ideas for the uniform but I eventually settled for the simple yet pretty cool design.

Once all the flat colours are in, I move on to the background, keep it simple, added so fire at the back.

Then I move on too lighting. I choose yellow for this, set the layer mode to linear dodge and then colour in some rim lighting.
After I do a little refining, make some adjustments add in some effects and boom! We are done.
Piece took 4 hours work time (minus breaks).
Software used was KRITA.

I hope you love it as much as I do
