蒙古怖畏金刚
怖畏金刚是格鲁派最重要的神衹之一,在蒙古人的宗教生活中占有着重要地位。此件怖畏金刚的主要身体部件由锤碟法成形,各部分合铸而成。手镯脚环等锤碟法铸造的装饰起到了掩饰接口的功能。手、足由失蜡法单独铸造。
内蒙古多伦诺尔的工匠们是锤碟工艺的大师。18世纪和19世纪,他们为清代宫廷,以及整个藏传佛教地区的寺院制作了大量的佛教造像。怖畏金刚身披的象皮为红铜锤碟而成,具有内蒙古多伦诺尔地区典型的风格特征。
