Hello there, Hivers!

Some patterns are interesting in the way the alternate colours. Even when mess up the order of the said colors, the results might just be right enough for them to look quite good. Then comes the hard part. That is dealing with the actual lined that will mask or give the colors their shape. In this particular case, I learned by the end of putting the lines in place that I needed less. Sometimes less is more.

The part that tests patiences is rounding the lines. And filing the spots of black ink as well. It takes a lot of time. And that's when thoughts start to wander around all the possible topics. And the idea of drawing Zentangle is to center yourself at the task at hand. Just like meditation. Focus on the drawing and breathing.

Bit by bit the whole pattern unwounds itself. The results varies on the kind of materials and technique used. Of course the paper plays a role on that as well. Some papers are better at retaining ink. The best part of getting to the last stage of the process is watching the zentagle and knowing you made it. It is an incredible feeling. And I guess it is also the reason why one can get and bear to do another one.
