As a final entry into the field trips for Flora Cumanensis, here are some of the photos of the last ecosystem we walked through on the trek. My favorite thing is the tree with many eyes. That is the results of cutting the lower branches. The eyes are actually scars from the healing process. Those trees are also huge. I bet they are almost 100-years old.

There are not too many photos since I was carrying a stick I found for a later carving process and most of the environment changes from desert to forest and then back again to the beach. There was a big tree in the end of the trek where we sat and talked and ate while we took a breather to make our long walk back to the starting point.

It was a nice activity. No wonder people study biology. They get all the fun by going to trips like these to study nature. It's a thing of beauty! And so was everything in sight during that Saturday morning.

La última entrega de los viaje sen Flora Cumanensis son estas fotos del ecosistema que es bosque y vuelve al desierto y finalmente a la playa. Mi parte favorita fue el árbol gigante con sus ojos. Esto es el resultado de cortar las ramas inferiores. Esos ojos son cicatrices del proceso. Además, por el tamaño, seguro tienen más de 100 años.

No hay demasiadas fotos porque estaba cargando una rama para un proyecto de tallado. Dimos un paseo largo entre el bosque y el desierto. Al final, buscamos refugio bajo un árbol en el medio de la nada. Ahí descansamos, comimos y hablamos mientras recuperábamos fuerzas para el camino de regreso.

Fue una actividad muy interesante. No me queda dudas de porqué la gente estudia biología. Tienen la oportunidad de hacer estos viajes y estudiar la naturaleza. ¿Qué puede haber más bello que eso? Quizá vivirlo por experiencia propia como en ese sábado por la mañana.
