Hello there, black-and-white photography lovers!

I've started another staff project, but since the piece of wood is very thick and big (no inuendo intended), I needed something to start carving the piece. Yes, I don't have the tools to make quick work of this; however, that's never been a problem.

Something called back to grandma's house. There are still some tools that belonged to my great grandfather. And this axe was the exact thing I was looking for. It was dull and full of rust from years in storage. But there's nothing a diamond stone can't do about it.

The process is long and takes many strokes of going in a different motion than a knife or any straight blade. One has to follow the curve of the axe to remove the rust and create a new edge. Fortunately, axes do not need razor sharp edges as they are meant to chop wood rather than making precision cuts.

A little test at the end ensures that the job is done!
