Hello new World

This is my first message here. #introduceyourself I was invited here by a friend (@sorin.cristescu) who convinced me that blockchain is a new world of opportunities, and that Hive is one of the most promising area of this new world.
I am currently experimenting a bit, strolling virtually from one continent to another, from artistically oriented minds to politically engaged persons. This stock looks for sure like a new continent!

I am still trying to figure out the rules of this world: a strange icon is lit in the upper corner of my screen, warning me that I have "unclaimed points". It doesn't really ring a bell for me yet. What are these points?

I know that steem which has a very close system comprises "steem", "steem power", and SBDs, but what are these "hive points" in relation to the 3 concepts? And why do I have to claim them? Can't they just be put on my relevant account?
And why was I given these points? clicking on the icon reveals that I have earned points with seemingly minor actions. For example login to the platform, posting and even because my heart is pounding. Well.... as you see, I have a lot of questions, which means a lot to learn. And this can only come through practice and experience. In other words, involvement in the community. This post is my first step, expressing my beginner's feelings..... Hello new world.
