Bass Lessons On DTube: Green Earrings - Steely Dan
Back after a bit of a hiatus! It was a busy summer... Hope yours was great too!
Chuck Rainey got real "fingerstyle" on this one. It was the mid 70's - every bass player was probably listening to Tower of Power but Rainey really nailed that style here - I'm sure Rocco was proud! This was a hard one to play because of all the sixteenth note variations, but we got around 98% there. Enjoy!!
P.S. you can't really see it but my Blue Jays jersey has a red Kevin Pillar cape on the back. hehe!

- 2011 Fender American Deluxe Pbass
- D'Addario nickel (round) wound medium gauge strings
- Pickup knob: 30% front
- Treble: rolled off a bit
- Avalon U5 D.I.
- Protools 11 (minor compression + EQ)
