A quiet morning visit by a Laughing Dove | My Entry SMAP Round 279

Hello feathered friends,

This is my submission for the SMAP round 279, organized by @nelinoeva I would like to tell you about a quiet moment I've had on my balcony.



Today, after doing some work, I unexpectedly heard a gentle chirping of a bird. As I'm interested in photographing birds and have already participated in a couple of Feathered Friends competitions, I got curious and went out onto my balcony to see the source of the sound.

It turned out that a stunning Laughing Dove was sitting peacefully on the wire of the street opposite my house. She seemed to be very calm and relaxed; from time to time she would look around herself and just relax in silence of the morning.

I quickly fetched my iPhone 12 and started to take pictures gently so as not to scare away the bird. She sat quietly on her spot until I managed to photograph her from different sides.

I did some AI adjustments to improve the picture quality but kept the bird natural and realistic.

It is such a relief that I was able to capture this peaceful moment and present it as my submission for the competition this week. I am sure you will enjoy viewing these pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them.
