Goodbye to the Roaring 20s!
I went to a party on Saturday night.
Let's just say that again...
I went to a party! On Saturday! NIGHT! !
Without my kid. He stayed at my mum's place. The WHOLE NIGHT. My first ever night away from my child! And I got my bed all to myself! First time in 3 years! And I slept terribly xD
The party was for a friend. It was her 30th birthday, and she chose a 1920s theme. It was an amazing evening. The food was delicious and had lots of authentic recipes from the time. A list of cocktails was printed off with recipes and there was a whole table outside as the bar where we could mix our own drinks. I had a go at making a Bees Knees (and failed because I couldn't find the honey, lol). And then there were the costumes! Soooo good! Here's the lovely mother-in-law of my friend and me:

The night was incredible and I can't wait for next weekend, where I actually get to go out again for the whole night and my dad will be babysitting. Another friend is having a birthday party, and I believe there will be board/card games :D
