That what you desire.
"The flat is a mess," I say to myself. "You're a mess!" replies the flat. "Yeah. Let's change that," mumble I, looking at the dust brought in by summer winds, covering everything. The flat is right with it's snarky comment. I'll elaborate. But first - music. Of course. Cleaning up whatever can't be done without it. Something loud and fast. For some reason Metallica crosses my mind, then I open it, but all the songs are slow. I put it on anyway. Starting with Fuel. Then I prepare my own fuel.

It's been a really rough week, but surprisingly fulfilling. There was mess all around me, I see that now. For the last months, I had been building the foundation and accumulated the strength to finally tackle them, though I doubt I'd have done it by my own will. I was deep in the comfort zone. And then Benji quit. Out of the blue. 5 days prior notice. Boom goes the comfort.
So, reluctantly and yet excited, I jumped into the ring again. Sales. Tuesday, I walked 18k steps selling in town. Wednesday, I went to Ibarra early morning, selling there with Francis. Thursday, market day, which I think I will start skipping - I would have if it wasn't for Kami, who is selling her cookies there. I think she'd still be a little lost without me as moral support. Friday Ibarra again, a scorching hot day (Ibarra is always hotter and dryer than Cotacachi), and no clients at all. Vacation time, the market was dead.
But I talked to some clients. Got feedback, managed to get the baguettes back to the higher quality by changing the flour back to what it was. Same will happen for the white sourdough. Getting back into it was very important, I can see that now. Hindsight is awesome.
I didn't sleep much at all. The neighbor called the police on us several times, for supposed noise. It's not the first time that he complains, I've been working on that for a long time, but he never cooperated, never gave useful information, just whining, so I had to guess where the noise came from. Turns out it was vibrations. From the kneading machine. Tatamis below them are a temporary fix, and reduced the vibrations in the wall completely. I might write a whole post about it. It was quite the ordeal dealing with the neighbors. But I hope that's done now.
Solvable problems. That was what I needed. Fixing them. The rush of dopamine on success. It's been a while since I felt that energized. I think I didn't have a night that I slept more than 6 hours, and yet I feel great. Determined. The seal of lethargy has been broken, finally. That what I can't control will fall into place when I focus on what is within my power.
Let's get to work.
