Burning shadows away. My Actifit diary: June 21 2026

I'm pretty proud of myself, how I managed myself this weekend. With patience, self-control, yet openness to my feelings. And I didn't get drunk, though I did have quite a few beer. Well distributed, with water in between and always aware of my limits.

I did not let my instincts get ahold of me, and that is great. I'm advancing. And that despite everything going on. How not to be proud? Still a long way to go, though.

The stay started very calm. I went to the market, bought some stuff, but my favorite comfort food wasn't available (Potatoes with water cress). So I decided to make my own version of baked beans, since I had cooked beans from the day before. Turned out delicious. I should make it more often.

We chilled in bed for quite a while before starting the day. It was somewhat productive, but not forced. Since the restaurant closed at 2pm, Nero decided to chill out in my flat with me.

When Ellie came back for the evening, we decided to make a fire. I love making fire. Attaching bad thoughts and feeling to each piece and burn them away.
