A little bit of sunshine. My Actifit Report Card: March 12 2026
I felt quite a bit of relief today. Not at first, at first I was very tired. I had spent quite a bit of time writing up a summary of the last 8 years, with all the legal procedures involved about Lily. So I went to bed very late. Like almost every night this week. Until now, I have evaded colds and such, but today I woke up with a little of a soar throat. It's damp and rainy outside, so it's easy to catch something. Now, again being late to bed, it seems like I avoided it once again.
While the day started pouring, this week it stopped in time to get to the market and actually sell some stuff. Didn't make up for last week, but that's fine. We never loose, we just gain less. Perks of having built the business in the most efficient way possible. Only thing I splurge on is the personal...
The fire department finally came for the inspection of the bakery. It was a sargent I already knew, which always makes things easier. She had done at least 2 controls with me, and she's aware that we always support the Fire Department during wildfire season - and more than anything, she knows that I always comply or over-comply. She did the regular checklist, we chatted for a minute, and then it was done.
I spent the afternoon trying to formulate a summary of Lily's psychological evaluation in a way that her mom would comprehend without being too upset, defensive, hostile and all that. That's not an easy task. The report is very long, and the mom has some processing issues for texts. Ellie helped me in the evening, and I think we did a good job. I'll send it tomorrow morning - if I send it now, she'll probably have a sleepless night. At least I always have when I get those kind of news, and while her mom loves to send them to me just before bedtime, I don't go down on that level.
It's 2x1 at a friend's bar on Thursdays, so I went with another friend. Last week, she wasn't drinking, but I was. This time, she was having a glass of wine, and I ordered only mocktails. I've been doing a good job this week in not drinking. The goal is to get it back to a level where it's only for enjoyment, no habit, no urge, no emotional suppression and such. As with everything, that, too, goes step by step. The mocktail I had was great.
Reached my 10k today! Not much more, but that's fine. Time to go to bed. Have a good night!
