I AM BRIDGETTE🤍🦋
So, before I shed these METAPHOR dripping down from my finger tips like droplets of rain
I hope you know,
There are pieces of me I don't put on papers, pages left hidden like a TARN
There are parts of me UNDESERVING of APPLAUSE or ACCOLADES
MY PAST not worthy of ENCORES even with an ALLEGRO played beautifully

MY SCARS no poet can make beautiful Even with words put together like a CADENCE
MY WEAKNESS I keep in DRONE
MY THOUGHTS and MOODS more JAVELIN than AFFECTION and my VULNERABILITIES I keep under locks and keys

There are sides of me more narrow than a SPINE and my STRENGTH sometimes more plain than a PROSE
But in all, I don't care about the MOUNTAINS I've ground to dust, the BURDENS I've shouldered and the STRENGTH I've had to lather myself in
When I come home!
LOVE ME
HOLD ME and HONOR ME
And I'll make a MUSEUM out of your SCARS, Giving you the PLEASURE of existing between two WORLD
