The colors of Sardinia
Hello to all!
I want to share some pics taken in 2011.
Pictures have been taken with analogic 35mm film, with a Nikon Fe2 camera.
We are in Sardinia, a wonderful island in Italy, rich of history and landscape, but more of all, a
crystal clear waters!
In following pictures 'La Pelosa', a famous beach in the north of the island:
An ancient population lived here many some thousands years ago. They built many cylindrical castles called Nuraghi (some of them destroyed, some renovated, other ones only ruins), thought to be for defensive purposes. It is a mystery how this population has disappeared, some scientists think because of an huge tsunami.
Here 'Basilica Santissima Trinità' in Saccargia, built with Pisan Romanesque style. I love the contrast between solemnity of black and white rows and the red and the messy of the poppies field.
This church is very ancient, you can note also some light brown moss on the walls.
Here we are in 'Porto Pollo'.
Very strong wind.
I have taken here my first windsurf lessons 40 year ago...
In Sardinia you can find sand dunes, white beach like in Indian Ocean, and a sea water with all shades of colors!
Also, these place reminded me to my happy childhood, when I came here with my parents.
May 2011.
