Day 5: Weeds

Good morning from this side of the world! Hey!
So I was supposed to try to do this last night as a catch up post but I think it would be best to do this with a gap or something since I'm still not done catching up on activity and my overall presence here 😅
Anyway, I'm on the 5th prompt word despite it being the 6th here now and I imagine I'll still be delayed on things until the 9th because that's another holiday for me and another long weekend I had planned in advance ☺️ Hopefully by then I could finally catch up and also do the days I missed, which is day 1 and 2 then decide on mermay or take a break. These are just my train of thoughts rn cuz I think i have newfound motivation

Duration: 1 hours (not accounting drying time)
materials: watercolours, pencil colors, a bit of white acrylic pen

So I think making really soft looking art and stimulating my muscle memory has been doing me a lot of good lately ☺️ mostly because itbeen lifting my mood a lot more than reading has done for me.

So I actually forgot to take a lot of photos for this because i was doing this while cooking dinner 😅 and I only realized that I haven't taken any shots yet when i finally got to sit down and start on my grass

then while layering up the grass. so since my watercolour set only has 12 colors, i have been really doing overtime blending most, if not, all the colors i need and i kind of remember now why i don't use this watercolour set as much as i should, because I'm so lazy to blend 🥲 but at least my eye for color and my color theory constantly gets reviewed while i work with the basic colors.

I only got to do the pencil color layer after dinner because the layering in itself and drying the layers already ate up sooo much time and i was sooo hungry. i do think the additional pencil color layer gave it a bit of dimension

I couldn't bare to add black to this one but I did di highlights just to give it a bit more life. my white acrylic marker wouldn't cooperate with me much on fine lines so i couldn't do more on the weeds themselves but I think this is enough for tonight ☺️

So day 5 done! I hope to make it to the end of the month since my motivation has been pretty good lately and i would say my workload has been letting me take more breaks since it's a new month, after all ^^

I pray that next month will give me lots of free time to be present too 🥹 I wanna try mermay 🥺 and also do more raids and more adventures. But for now, I have to work! Happy monday everyone!
