Today I accidentally hit a motorbike with my car while driving

I should say that today was not a very great day. I expected the day to be a pleasant one, being it a Monday, but ultimately it ended up being very different. I was involved in an accident today. I was returning from a function when a motorbike suddenly came in front of my car, and I hit it. He fell and got a few scratches on his hands and legs. It was quite unfortunate, and we did not debate whose fault it was but instead started taking the next steps. Even though this event itself was quite unfortunate for me, the outcome was a little better.

Usually, in situations like these, either the Police person would do the gold digging or the person who got hit would. That's one of the reasons why even some of the drivers won't wait and ask the affected person to file a case and go with the law. They don't wait to help the injured person. I got this information from the Policeman who came to investigate. He appreciated me for staying with the injured person and solving this problem smoothly. Usually, the Policeman also threatens and asks for a bribe to do their job. But today the policeman was quite a gentleman. He intended to solve the issue between the two parties and was not to make use of this opportunity to make money.

There was also some damage to my vehicle during this event. When I hit someone in the front, someone hit my car in the back because of my sudden brake. I have damage to the back of my car. I guess today is a day when I ended up spending a lot of money on unnecessary things. One lesson that I learned from today's incident is that even though I go on the road carefully, I cannot be sure that everyone will be careful. Some people might make mistakes and get hurt, and unfortunately, we might become a reason for it. It is not enough if I'm very careful while driving on the road, but others might even create situations where we might get stuck. So we have to be extra cautious, is what I understood. But because of all these, I'm not in my best moods today, but I have work piled up till my neck.
